How We Helped Star Gold Achieve Record-Breaking Viewership with Our Innovative Campaign

We are thrilled to share with you one of our most exciting and challenging projects that we recently completed for our client Star Gold, a popular Hindi movie channel that offers a variety of Bollywood blockbusters and premieres of new and latest movies featuring your favourite stars.

Star Gold approached us with a unique and ambitious idea: to create a world record of Shah Rukh Khan fans striking the iconic Shah Rukh Khan pose. The event was planned to coincide with the premiere of Pathaan, the action blockbuster of the year, starring Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham. The event was also meant to generate buzz and hype for the movie and the channel, and to attract millions of viewers to watch the premiere on TV.


We were thrilled and honored to be a part of this project, as we are huge fans of Shah Rukh Khan ourselves. However, we also faced a lot of pressure and challenges, as we had to deliver three films in 24 hours, covering the entire event from start to finish. We also had to work with the biggest actor known to mankind, Shah Rukh Khan himself, and capture his perspective and emotions during the event. We also had to coordinate with the Guinness World Record team and the thousands of fans.


We assembled a team of 9 people and devised an entire script, managed to get an editing station, where we shot and edited simultaneously as the huge event took place. We also got a chance to go inside the superstar’s house called Mannat to shoot through his POV. We successfully shot, edited, and delivered three films in 24 hours. One of the films was a long one, a 4 minute film that encompassed things like voice overs, music, sfx, graphics, videos, etc.


The films and the event were an instant hit with everyone. We achieved our goal, and created two records: one world record with the fans, and one record-breaking viewership for the premiere on TV. As per BARC data, the premiere delivered a reach of 45.5 million viewers and Average Minute Audience (AMA) of 15 million. (Source: BARC - All India, CS2+,Tv+Ooh)


The Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone and John Abraham starrer Pathaan’s premiere on Star Gold has emerged as the highest-rated movie of 2023.
